A phone rings. But where?
...

©'s body. Wait, no, there's a telephone next to ©.
It's ringing.

<{...Hello, ©.}>
<{I...have a simple deal to cut with you.}>
<{Fight by our side. And I'll convince the others to not tear you down.}>
<{You're up against the manifestation of Tragedy. It'll be...difficult to resist them and the full force of our vengeance...}>
<{...There's a +512 waiting for you if you wish to accept.}>

And the +512 is handed to them, as a jolt of lightning that arcs from the phone as it falls down.

[1344/???]: Power is stirred up.

[ENTITY COMMAND]: IRRELEVANT

[ACTION]:
"..Tragedy."

"Death. Destruction."
"...in physics, it's all justified."
"From nothing we came into something. It's only natural for that something to collapse back into nothing."

First, Pol eats 3 lumps of metal. Then, in a blink - not clear when they flew to TRAGEDY - Pol lands on TRAGEDY's shoulder.

And bows their head to them, respectfully.
Memory...is the proof that something existed. Proof that something thrived…once.

TRAGEDY is taken somewhere. The room around them melts away, as grass pops up from the ground.

It's a hill. Overlooking a sunset. TRAGEDY leans against a tree, Pol on a branch nearby.

TRAGEDY most likely would want out, immediately. This just slows them down.
"…Why not stay here a while? We have time. The power of Memory is nice like that."
Leaves glide down daintily as Pol continues.
"Memory sharing can happen instantaneously, and yet I can give anyone a few hours or days…even lifetimes of experience to relive, in crystal clear detail. You can attack me in reality, if you'd like. I'd react just as quickly. But there's no point attacking anything here. This bat you see before you is just a projection, as are you."
Pol looks forward.
"I'd just like to show you something, if that's alright."
Pol looks down at the scene before them. Weirdly polite. But, sure.

The sun dips languidly into the mountain range in the distance. Before the two of them, TRAGEDY can see a young, fledgeling…couple. They're, eating a picnic. A brown haired, maybe 15 year old, dark coloured boy, accompanied by a blonde, light skinned girl. Seems they're on a date. A simple scene.

It'd probably be easy for TRAGEDY to rip this memory asunder. Dispel it, break it. But what's the threat? No harm can be done to TRAGEDY here, and no harm can be done to Pol. They can tell that what Pol said is true. They probably have all the magic power in the world to deduce that by themselves, with their Black Mask. They could let this memory play out for hours and still have plenty of time to react to anyone running up to slice them with a sword, even if such a move is futile against them. Might as well see what the silly bat tries to justify fighting back in this split second of time they gave themselves, against the personification of tragedy. How can TRAGEDY help but be curious-

Wait, no. That isn't right. It makes sense, but it isn't something they would think, at least not without some further discussion. This is an anomalous train of thought for TRAGEDY.
Why would TRAGEDY think like this?

TRAGEDY then would easily notice something else. It has a distinct...brass like feel to it. It's sort of a wave beating against them, a wave of power as sure as the coming waves on the beach. It's not a physical wave that actually moves them, but a wave of magic they can definitely feel quite clearly.
Brass is one of the allomantic metals. A metal that allomancers, whose abilities Pol is mimicking, can sort of "burn" after they've ingested it, giving the user certain…abilities, using the metal as a source of power.
Brass gives the one burning the metal the ability to Push on, to Soothe, the emotions of those around them, repress them, make them weaker and less pronounced. Anger, fear, joy, things like that. In this case, it seems Pol was targeting TRAGEDY's suspicion, and their sense of urgency, suppressing these emotions to make them calmer, making their confidence and curiosity more marked by comparison. It's nothing more than a nudge in the direction Pol seems to want them to go in. But facts are facts. And so TRAGEDY waits, deciding it doesn't really matter. Everything ends in tragedy. This is no different.

It's almost poetic how true that thought is as soon as the sun sets, after a matter of minutes of idle conservation, quiet smiles, and even a bit of a laugh between the two teenagers on their date. The sun disappearing heralds the oncoming of a gigantic warship. Huge, black and blue, spear-like. Looks like the oncoming of an alien invasion.
The memory fast forwards. No need to dwell on the various wave motion guns and invading foot soldiers that lay waste to the landscape, the couple that was innocently eating during their quaint picnic date. Soon enough, the fires are burning. The mountains are nothing but rubble. A tragedy.

"...if you think about it hard enough, you're not wrong, TRAGEDY."
"If all stories went on long enough, they all end in death, in "tragedy", as you like to call it. It's an inevitability for mortals."
"Societies collapse, worlds are destroyed by supernovas or ruin at the hands of their own, presumptuous rulers."
"Even gods die. It's really hard to find a truly omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent god out there, you know? Even Aspera's on the ropes, in a sense. Though somehow it seems like you have other plans. And he's probably got some cards up his sleeve too."

The memory goes black. Like someone taking the disc out of a DVD player.

"...But then, you have to take a second to ask yourself. Why do we still tell the stories we tell then?"
"We always know it ends the same. Something dies."

A former Jedi Master, standing against a man clad in a dark, knight-like outfit, both bearing lightsabers. The knight strikes the Jedi Master down with barely a fight.
"The protagonists die."
A dying, bleeding man in a suit of armour, jet engines and indestructible suit having somehow stopped a falling titan of a robot from falling down onto innocent civilians. Breaking their promise to survive, to the grieving swordswoman who found their dying corpse.
"…their dogs die, everything they fought for is subservient to the oncoming void. What's the point in even us fighting at all, in even getting out of bed in the morning?"

The scene jerks violently to...ah. A classic.
A fair maiden, waking from a slumber in their tomb, to find a dead man who lay down his life by drinking poison, so he could live out the afterlife with his one true, star-crossed beloved. After a brief moment of being devastated, her eyes soften…and then she comes to her own self-ultimatum. She takes his knife, and then she runs her heart through with the dagger, ending the story in a tragedy with her falling lifelessly to the ground, nothing more than a big bundle of flesh, meatbags, and blood.

Then, the story pauses.

And then, it begins to rewind.
"...Did you see it?"
"The reason?"

Juliet rises unnaturally, dagger doing back into her chest and then out, her heart coming back together. What strange illusions rewinding can produce. It stops just before she makes her decision to kill herself.

The scene is jerked again, back to the budding couple on their date. They simply touch hands, and look at each other.
The wind blows, the leaves still rustle. The memory holds, refusing to continue.

It's still a tragedy, through and through.
N o t h i n g c h a n g e d.

Pol sighs.
"…you still don't get it, do you?"
"Didn't you talk about how all those new tales the mask showed you brought a chill to your bones?"
"…"
"If I just showed you a gory scene where everything was dead…"

The memory changes, to a ruined land of black, dead flora, soldiers all over the ground, bleeding out from various grievous injuries, a general having apparently stood defiant until the very end, distinguished from his men by his glinting white armour.

"…it wouldn't be the same, now would it? It wouldn't be the same like any of those things I showed you before. Tragedies I know you glory in. There's no tragedy inherent simply in a scene of death, except for that that we make of it. Otherwise I could've saved a lot of time by just skipping to the ending."
"We can guess that a terrible war happened here, we can guess that the general probably had a story to tell. But it doesn't have the same oomph. Not without a fundamental part of the "tragedy"."

The memory fades out of view…and the memories begin presenting themselves in a different format.

A normal, blond man. Standing on the pier of an island resort. In his arms, he carries a slender woman, pale skin making their sharp, black hair all the sharper, and a pink haired girl with weird, looking horns on their head. The man walks by Pol and TRAGEDY, carrying them off to a cruise ship in the distance. Just by focusing their eyes on one, TRAGEDY is shown their stories, a series of memories that flash before TRAGEDY's eyes in a moment, and yet they see it all the same.

…It's a fake family. They all have no genetic relationships. It was put together specifically for a mission the spy father was on, to try and prevent the ultimate tragedy for their world, total destruction, the end of their entire world, in a war that would guarantee Mutually Assured Destruction. The "mother" knew nothing of this mission, and the child did not fully understand.

It was an impossible mission that grows harder and harder as the world is pushed to the brink. The details are…strange. Apparently there was no other way to get closer to that whom would end up being the war's instigator, that whom the spy needed to subtly manipulate for the world to have a chance at all, but to get their child in some prestigious school they threaten to flunk out of every single day.
Time rewinds forward, and, as expected, everything burns from nuclear fallout.

But then it glitches away, time rewinding back to the pier scene. The father is alone now as he turns to TRAGEDY and Pol…and smiles, despite the apparent inevitability of the failure of his mission. Despite knowing that the survival of his very world depends on how well his mockery of a family can mimic a real one. Despite knowing it's more or less a suicide mission.
co*cky. Confident. Determined, despite how he should be despairing. He knows what's coming, and he still stnads.

Anger. Rage. It's a zinc touch now, coming from Pol. Not so much a wave so much as it is a tug on their own (most probably hypothetical) heartstrings. Burning zinc enables one to pull, where brass Pushed. Their emotions are being Rioted, made stronger, where brass made them weaker. Pol is barely even being subtle now.
"…Do you see, TRAGEDY?"
A fire flares to life next to TRAGEDY's face. A white flame. Outrage begins to stir in them as the inevitable ending is rejected. They know they are being Pushed and Pulled to feel this way and it does not matter. Their calmness suppressed, their confidence flared, Pol wants them to know damn well that despite Pol outright agreeing with them, they still stand before them. They act like they know tragedies better than the personification of tragedy itself. The insolence!

"Do you see the fundamental cog of the tragedy yet? You should know, I'm certain."
Memories pass TRAGEDY by like playing cards as the memory blackens again. A yellow tentacle'd monster in teacher's robes, comforting a student despite promising to end the earth in a year. A blue armoured, humanoid robot, nodding confidently to a red armoured humanoid robot, a feeling of trust evident between them, despite how they will fight each other one day, to the death. A girl in a pink kimono in a snowy forest, smiling despite the frost, despite how she'll one day be slain by a bloodthirsty demon. On some level they all know something bad is coming; if not a natural disaster, then their oncoming death by natural causes. And yet...

"…There are sparks in everything. Every smile. Every pinch of trust."
"Every blossoming friendship, every love story, every hope."
"Every slice of laughter, every dream and dying wish…"

TRAGEDY blinks, and they're back in reality, Pol staring into their soul. And a flame dances on Pol's wing.

"You love TRAGEDY so much because it's the ultimate crushing of these sparks. It chills you to the bone, you delight in crushing that and replacing it with despair. Because it's how you exert your "power"."
"And yet, as TRAGEDY is a constant, so too is the spark. Somewhere out there, someone is smiling. Somewhere out there, someone fights a battle for their loved one
and wins."
Pol drops the ball of flame on TRAGEDY's shoulder. Where it begins to catch. Where it burns them, bit by bit. Assuredly.

"Tragedies cannot exist without something to destroy, something happy, something kind, something compassionate."
"Tragedies are inevitable. But so are the flares of life that burn before the void claims them. And who knows what it can manage to do, before the inevitable takes them down. Maybe it'll just die."

The spark rolls…and TRAGEDY puts out the small, insignificant flame effortlessly with a brush of their hand.
Only for the spark to relight on one of their reels.
"…A bonfire can be but a spark in the eyes of a god."
The spark catches, and it begins to make TRAGEDY feel things. Happiness. Hope. Maybe these Adventurers stand a chance after all. Maybe their fire will-
Their emotions are being Rioted again. This is a false manipulation of the mind - allomantic metals cannot alter one's own thoughts.
Pol begins to burn duralumin. Their zinc burns at a hyper fast rate, releasing a massive burst of Rioting power. For duralumin is a metal that essentially amplifies the output of other metals being burnt, causing them to be used up in a blink (not the duralumin, though. It can be burned for far longer).
However, since Pol has an infinite supply of zinc, that downside doesn't matter as much.
And it's as if a titan took hold of TRAGEDY's heart strings, and yanked with all their might. Their outrage grows and grows, but so does the feelings the flame represents. Trust. Connection. Dreams. Hope.
The flame is implanting these emotions inside TRAGEDY. Even as it burns away at them.

"To deny the spark exists is to deny your precious tragedies one of their most important parts, if not the most important part. Antithetical as it is to you, it's the yin to your yang, the tails to your heads..."
"Somewhere out there, someone is smiling. Somewhere out there, a robot dreams of becoming human. Things tragedies do have to strike down, sooner or later...until nothing remains. At which point TRAGEDY cannot continue to exist."

Pol presses their face to TRAGEDY. And as TRAGEDY tries to extinguish the spreading flame on their reel, it allows TRAGEDY to do that, before popping up as a pair on two of TRAGEDY's other reels. It's a similar concept to Saitama being unable to kill a mosquito. Despite his awesome power, he cannot truly crush something so small. So insignificant. And yet so fundamental to their own existence, as the spark is to TRAGEDY, as the annoyingness of the mosquito is to Saitama.
"…In the meantime, let's see if this spark at least blinds you before you find a way to crush it anyway."

Markov ran for his life. He only had one clip left in the gun, and the Hosts of the Infinite were approaching. He knew, intuitively, that they weren't his friends anymore, that they were just part of the hive mind, but he couldn't bring himself to shoot them.

As he opened the emergency exit, he stumbled back. No. No! The Emissary of the Infinite himself stared at him from the other side of the door. Vines grew through the door at alarming speeds as Markov, desperate, emptied his final clip in the Emissary's direction. The Emissary of the Infinite simply continued advancing as the bullets bounced off of a barely-visible barrier between the two.

He was surrounded.

Markov: Why are you doing this!? Why are you destroying our world?

To Markov's surprise, the Emissary of the Infinite stopped and scratched his chin for a moment, as if pondering the question. Then, all at once, the creeping vines and creeping Hosts stopped, as if waiting for further instructions.

Emissary of the Infinite: Markov Presus. Esteemed scholar of Voidic history. Yes, I think if anyone here would understand, it would be you.
Emissary of the Infinite: You see, Presus, in a past
life I was, like you, an esteemed scholar of Voidic history.
Emissary of the Infinite: I scoured
records old and new to figure out the past of the void, and through understanding that, I worked out the Void's future... and its ultimate fate.
Emissary of the Infinite: I came to a
conclusion which, perhaps, you will also find reasonable. The Void is doomed to destroy itself, because more than one person lives in it.

Markov stared at the Emissary of the Infinite.

Markov: ...Perhaps you could elaborate a little bit?
Emissary of the Infinite: Ah, of course. Proof and evidence and all of that.
Emissary of the Infinite: The Void, you see, has been trapped in an endless
cycle.
Emissary of the Infinite:
Civilizations rise, and those civilizations are torn apart from the inside by those who disagree with those civilizations in some intangible aspect, like the harshness of their laws.
Emissary of the Infinite: From these
splinters arise new civilizations which are themselves torn apart from the inside by those who wish for less laws, more laws, more taxes, less taxes, no taxes at all, and other such fickle things.
Emissary of the Infinite: No matter how small a
civilization, down to even two people, it is doomed to eat itself and divide due to differences of opinion.
Emissary of the Infinite: The logical
conclusion is simple, really. The Void must be reduced to just one person, so that there are no more disagreements.

Markov... couldn't muster any words at the sheer insanity of it.

Markov: You're just killing everybody because they don't agree with each other?
Emissary of the Infinite: Oh, no, no, no! I wouldn't do something so cruel! The Void, after all, exists for the people within it.
Emissary of the Infinite: I'd hardly be saving the Void if I killed all of its
inhabitants.
Emissary of the Infinite: No, instead what I'm doing is making it so that we have the best of both
worlds.
Emissary of the Infinite: If everybody shares the same
mind, they share the same opinions, and thus the Void does not tear itself apart.
Emissary of the Infinite: But if they all have different
bodies, then the entire Void is still alive, and therefore preserved.
Emissary of the Infinite: Surely you agree that this is a clean, simple
solution, yes?

Markov blinked once, then twice.

Markov: You're... You're insane.

Then, mustering all of his strength, he charged at the Emissary of the Infinite, hoping beyond hope that he could do something, anything, to kill the madman. Immediately, he was restrained by two of the Hosts. With creeping horror, he could feel the vines slithering over his body.

Emissary of the Infinite: A shame. You have allowed fear to rule your mind just like the rest of them.
Emissary of the Infinite: Ah well. Perhaps I shall find a kindred
spirit in the next universe.

And Markov drifted off into darkness, his mind and body being taken to serve the Infinite.

HAD is destroyed!

To beat tragedy we need to overcome it, hmm, I'll try beauty

[ACTION]

Look at the stars and their beauty
look at how they shine,
unlike others these hold no story
as they are scattered across all spacetime
the dipper isn't a bear, and Orion has no belt
There are no stories in the sky, only the beauty of the physical.
and if there are no stories in the stars, they is no tragedy in them, for even their deaths bring beauty.

<![if !ie]> you use the beauty of the stars to <![endif]>

<![if !ie]> overcome TRAGEDY! <![endif]>

TRAGEDY takes ∞ damage! You gain 2,500,000 STARDUST! (This can be expended in the final fight to deal additional damage!)

[ACTION]

The enigmatic ambience of the End influences this action (because lmao)

Alright. Tragedy. Can think of a couple ways to fight that. Heck, even got a two-fold answer to that right now. Which I will indeed use. Right now.

First up, yeah I did talk about using a certain ol' "Magic" to combat this goofy ahh sad nerd back after their first appearance, which makes this a Call-Back tool of some sorts. A Brick Joke? Chekhov's Gun? Eh, whatever the case, a good ol' usage of some Call-Back tool hasn't not saved a life, or two, or hundreds, or maybe even thousands, millions? Billions? Trillions? Uncountable-illions? Yeah, and saving a life practically means stoppin' a Tragedy. Don't fight me on that. Or do. I will die on this galvanized-square-steel-supported hill.

Anyways, what could this "Magic" even be that's gonna fight Tragedy- it's Comedy y-you already know the punchline here. It's Comedy. I am gonna blast Bazinga's of apocalyptic magnitude and that'll kill any amount of Tragedy in any and all scenes because how can one grieve and mourn for a tragedy when preceeding and especialy succeeding the scene of Tragedy are tone-killing attempts to make the audience laugh?

...well, Bazinga's was the original plan, but uhh... you see, I trained in the art of Comedy before this encounter. I developed my craft... too much, to the point that this weapon I have built to counter Tragedy is... well...

I'm calling it Comedy because... well I made it to be Comedy, but really, that THING merely carries the moniker of Comedy like how the Demon of Babylon disguises himself with the coat of the righteous.

Uhh... anyways, hit play.

<![if !ie]> It begins with a solitary Bazinga, echoing throughout realms in its isolation. <![endif]> <![if !ie]> And then, an anticlimactic moment of silence. Almost serene in its own right, tempting one to bask in the inherent peacefulness a little of bit quietness can give... <![endif]>

Hera Grayale woke up on the morning of November 11, 2011. In seven days, Minecraft would leave beta and release properly.

She'd used the Void Clock to take herself back to this day exactly 90,138,213,299 times and counting. Each time, she kept all of her knowledge from her past attempts, and she gradually became more knowledgeable and able to accumulate much more power for herself. Each time, as she usually did, she faced down Richard and the endlessly grating Descendants in what would later be called Zeroth Godmodding War, and she would throw more at them than anyone else could fathom. Each time, she came up with something new to bring to the table.

And each time, no matter how hard she fought, she lost and died.

Each time, though, the death failed to stick, and each time she was eventually set free from Limbo and given the opportunity to assist those Descendants she hated so much with the destruction of the Incarnate, a massive mechanical terror piloted by Richard. Each time, she helped, only because Richard was one of those few people she hated as much as the Descendants, and besides that it kept her sharp. Then, each time, she immediately ran back to the roots of the World Tree and activated the Void Clock again.

That was how it went each time. That was how it went every time.

This time, though, it was going to be different.

This time, she was going to win.

This time, she was going to win.

This time, she was going to win.

This time, she was going to win.

This time, she was going to win.

This time, she was going to win.

This time, she was going to win.

This time, she was going to win.

This time, she was going to win.

<![if !ie]> The Titan Walker <![endif]> stands before Tragedy, It is a Machine, and it stands with an army of even more machines.

Machines are built for a specific purpose, their frames, their processors, their actions, everything they are, all dedicated to completing the Goal that they were built to achieve.

Something like that isn't going to be affected by tragedy, everything that machine has, what it is and what it will be in the future, all are meant to serve a specific Goal, and Tragedy isn't a factor in this equation, it is simply another obstacle that stands between The Machine and its Goal.

A Knife does not care if it slices through Leaves or Meat, whether it stabs through Flesh or Feathers, regardless of all of this, It is still a Knife.

A Train will move through its tracks uncaring of whether or not there's something in the way.

A Machine is unaffected by Tragedy, and will overcome it just like every other obstacle encountered before.

On Prospit, Doomed D.I.G.I. felt the Darkness within her soul trying to claw its way out. She knew, of course, that it wasn't really her soul. She took this soul from someone else when it was in a broken state, and although she has formed her own soul from it, the original soul had been trying to claw its way out for some time now.

On Ginxel's land, Alpha D.I.G.I. shared the same issue, but she faced a far more active threat. Across from her, Xehanortsprite encouraged her darker side. The Darkness within her coated her as she tried to fight him, only getting worse as she continued struggling against it.

In a single, tense moment, it all came to a head at once. Alpha D.I.G.I., her body coated in darkness, lost control. Before she realized it was happening, she stabbed herself through her Heart.

D.I.G.I., separated from herself by a thousand miles, was swallowed whole by Darkness.

Hey guess what i lied +512 to Tom Sawyer (DragonAegis) because profits.

[Main Action]
© picks up the phone, listens for a bit, sighs, and throws the phone down the stairs. Fine. Fine! He'll play along.

And then he decides to slither around TRAGEDY. He isn't taking action, isn't striking or lashing out. He's circling them as if to study them.
"...yknow, I've done this before? This whole "everything is awful" shtick? Polybius tried it. And they had the benefit of actually having me used as an argument! So what makes you believe you'd fare better? You want to claim everything ends in tragedy? Well, here's some hard proof on how wrong you are."
With that, he does not melt so much as... come apart at the seams. And the mass then moves to the Traveler's Tree, still growing along a corner of the room. © climbs up its branches, and his form acts as a sort of lens into the leaves growing. And, in every single one... they're happy. One just won the world championship as the greatest fighter. Another saved the planet from a rogue machine, and even saved the machine itself. One is simply relaxing on the beach, a smile on their face. But all of them are anything but experiencing tragedy.
"...You want to know why the ones I call are never so happy? It's because, as much as I regret it, not all of them had good endings. Not all got treated equally. But that's where I come in. I gave them all a chance, a shot at a better ending. They knew what might happen. They knew it might end up with them dead. And they still came. They still believed. So go on. Continue to say it all has a bad ending."

You do not recognize them, and yet you do. You swear you've seen them before, yet cannot place where. Their name is on the tip on your tongue, but it isn't. For you have never met, and yet you've always known each other. For they are The Forgotten. The culmination of all that has been lost to time. All the lives lost, formed into one consciousness. And they seek only one thing. To help others avoid this fate. The Shard in their heart pulsates, and for just a moment there's a smile burned into your vision. A smile you'll never forget.
The Vessel of Memories is recalled.

+512 to uh anyone who +512s me

[RPNULL]
We just need to think of ways to overcome TRAGEDY?
Huh.
First, though, Tom Sawyer asks TRAGEDY to please tell us about some of the bad endings.
They haven't been to most of these places. (actually they don't recognize any of the things but the other adventurers know and they've heard of a few)
Basically, they're requesting more context.
[/RPNULL]

Tom Sawyer gets an idea!

...uh, they explore the theatre in an attempt to find things.
If they don't find what they're looking for (collections of stories in books, movies, songs, ect) they simply use their FOUNDRY to create it!
Tom Sawyer presents the many stories that actually do, in fact, have happy endings!
Sure, they might not be part of reality (it's not very clear which are and which aren't) and sure, for every happy ending there's a thousand tragic endings, but the happy endings are there. They exist. And they're the endings everyone strives for, the ones which everyone tries their utmost to get to.

And they succeeded. Tom Sawyer points to uh the story they picked up which hopefully applies. They point to a disk of DTG which they happen to have (they don't have a disk of DTG 2) and they point towards the Architect's story (they invented the Machine). They got a happy ending. They fended off Aspera, and they survived.

And us? We're so close. We can get a happy ending too. And so can you! Dedede, Norm, they survived. They're alive and chilling somewhere.
Aspera is one floor up. We're determined to get there, and we've already made it through many of the hardest challenges the thousand universes has. What's to say it'll all end in tragedy?

My entities do nothing! It's tragic. I wish I could at least have them use Belenoth to store up magic.

Where are the others?

[Action]

Dealing with Tragedy, dealing with tragedy, in order to deal with tragedy, you gott--

Don't, this requires more brain effort than normal and I don't do "extra brain effort" like that (and in reality, i'm genuinely confused on what you mean by "overcome tragedy"), so instead I get right in the way and block its way.

Ian: Try and hit past my illogically indestructible body.

...

Ian: Ok, this silence in the mind is geting on my nerves.

Guess we are forcing this out, I then duplicate into several ice statues (along with becoming one myself) that surround Tragedy, positions adapting whenever they move, this way we can ensure that all damage and effects that they attempt is reduced, even if the pain (that doesn't represent health loss) is a struggle.

...

Ian: I still feel them, they must be disoriented or something from that last thing.

Don't worry, this is only for roleplay purposes and will only last this turn.

AND OF COURSE THE MOST IMPORTANT OF RESTRICTIONS: TIME CONSTRAINTS!...ANIMATING THE MOTH PALADIN THEFT TOOK UP LIKE 3 DAYS OF SOLID WORK OKAY THE PLAN WAS TO SPEND THOSE PREPARING THE PLAN SO IT WASN'T REALLY READY.
WELP. IT'S DEFJOE TIME! [REDACTED PER PROTOCOL 4000-ESHU]'S JUST GOING TO HAVE TO DO THE PLAN NEXT BOSS FIGHT. I MEAN, DEFJOE COULD PROOOBABLY STEAL THE SUPPRESSION? BUT EHHHHH HE'LL JUST LEAVE A NOTE SUGGESTING ANOTHER SELF DO THAT. NO POINT DOING THAT IMMEDIATELY, IF IT'S GOING TO HAPPEN AT ALL IT SHOULD BE AFTER SOME MORE UPGRADEIFICATIONS TO BENEFIT FROM THE ONE-TURN OF TICK OR W/E.
NOW, DEFJOE MAY BE A MASTER THIEF- WELL, IN THE MAKING- BUT IT'S WORTHWHILE TO REMEMBER HIS ORIGINS. BEFORE HE WAS A MASTER THIEF, HE WAS... A PIZZASMCPIZZAS SALESPERSON AND/OR MERCENARY. BUT BEFORE THAT...
HE WAS THE INCARNATION OF RATIONAL DEBATE.
"ALRIGHT, SO YOU'RE, WHAT. A NIHILIST SLASH KNOCKOFF OF THE WRITER BUT WITH AN EVEN STUPIDER PITCH?"
"LIKE, AT LEAST THE WRITER WAS ARGUING 'THIS REALITY SPECIFICALLY KINDA SUCKS MAN'. YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT THE SPACE OF ALL POSSIBLE STORIES?"
"IT'S BLINDINGLY OBVIOUS, BUT LET'S GET THIS OUT OF THE WAY. YOUR POSITION IS SIMPLY INCORRECT. TRAGEDY, COMEDY, GOOD ENDINGS AND BAD- ALL OF THESE ARE POSSIBLE."
"YOUR THEATER DOES NOT ILLUMINATE THE SPACE OF ALL POSSIBLE STORIES, BUT ONLY THE CIRc*msCRIBED SPACE OF STORIES TRAGIC ENOUGH YOU'D ACCEPT THEM. FOR EACH BAD ENDING IN YOUR THEATER, THERE EXISTS AT LEAST ONE CORRESPONDING GOOD ENDING OUTSIDE IT; FOR THE TRUE ENDING, AN ENDING WHERE THE OVERLORD'S SLEEPING-ROOM HAD ANY WINDOWS, OR THE CASTLE FLOOR WAS STONE AND COULD NOT BURN. NOR ARE THE CHOICES YOU PRESENT THE ONLY OPTIONS; THE OVERLORD AND MAIDEN AND HERO COULD BECOME EMBROILED IN A PROLONGED AND ANIMATED DISCUSSION, REMAINING IN THE ROOM WITH WINDOWS. THE OVERLORD COULD SIMPLY REACT MODERATELY FASTER TO BEING TOLD OF AN ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT, OR TAKE MORE THAN FIVE MINUTES TO GO TO BED AND FALL ASLEEP."
"FRANKLY, IN THAT RESPECT YOUR SO-CALLED 'TRUE ENDING' IS UNREALISTIC; THE CASTLE'S PORTRAYED SIZE, A SINGLE ATRIUM BETWEEN ENTRANCE AND MAIDEN-MEETING ROOM, IS NOT LARGE ENOUGH FOR THE TRUE ENDING TO ARISE. THE ATRIUM'S SIZE GIVES THE OVERLORD PERHAPS A MINUTE AT A WALK AND TWENTY SECONDS AT A RUN, AND THE UNDERLING'S DEPICTED CONVERSATION IS PERHAPS THIRTY SECONDS, DETERMINED BY PLOTTING OUT APPROXIMATE SPEECH PATTERNS FOR THE DEPICTED POINTS AND SPEAKING THEM ALOUD TO A STOPWATCH. IF THE OVERLORD WAS ALMOST ASLEEP BY THE TIME THE MAIDEN RETURNED- AT ROUGHLY TWO MINUTES AFTER HER DEPARTURE- SHE EVIDENTLY HAS NARCOLEPSY OR A COMPARABLE DISORDER. BY THAT POINT, YOU MAY AS WELL SPEAK OF THE TRAGIC BAD ENDING WHERE THE OVERLORD GREETS THE MAIDEN, ONLY TO FALL ASLEEP ONTO THE MAIDEN MID-SENTENCE, BREAKING ALL OF THE MAIDEN'S BONES AS SHE FALLS; TRAGIC, AYE, BUT NAKEDLY THE INFLUENCE OF A MALICIOUS GODLING."
"THERE ARE FLAWS IN YOUR OTHER ENDINGS, OBVIOUSLY, AND THE STRUCTURE OF THE THEATER. AT THE LEVEL OF PRECISION HUMANS OBSERVE THE WORLD AT, OR ANY NON-DETERMINISTIC PHYSICS, CHOICES AND OUTCOMES AREN'T SO FIXED. THE OVERLORD COULD BELIEVE THE MURDERER HERO, THE HERO COULD SURVIVE BY A BRINK, THE HERO COULD WALL A BIT SLOWER AND ARRIVE 5-10 MINUTES LATER, HEARING THE UNDERLINGS EXPLAINING THEIR ASSASSINATION PLOT. THE UNDERLING COULD TRIP AND SLOW DOWN THE OTHERS. AND SO FORTH. BUT LET'S LEAVE YOUR CLOSED-DOWN STORY ASIDE; IT'S A POINT THAT'S BEEN MADE WELL ENOUGH, AND IF YOU'VE ANY OBJECTIONS I'LL HEAR THEM WHEN I RESURFACE."
"NOW LET'S SPEAK OF YOUR
SACRED BLACK MASK, AND THE STORIES IT TELLS. YEARS AND YEARS, WORLDS AND WORLDS- AND IT JUST SO HAPPENS I RECOGNIZE ONE OF THEM. YOUR BLUE REEL. FUNNY HOW THAT WORKS OUT, HM?"
"THAT STORY... I WON'T PRETEND TYVIIN'S DEATH ISN'T A TRAGEDY. BUT IT WASN'T INEVITABLE, EITHER. IT LOOKS INEVITABLE, BECAUSE IT'S A SELF-CAUSING TIME-LOOP. BUT IT'S REALLY JUST AN ANSWER TO THE QUESTION OF 'HOW DID THINGS TURN OUT'. CHANGE THE INITIAL CONDITIONS- AN ANTI-KINGDOM HEARTS WARD, ALPHA PUTS IN A STRONGER TIMELINE LOCK, SOMEONE ELSE IN THE AREA, A TYVIIN THAT'D BE JUST A BIT LESS TRUSTING OF CHAT-LOGS, DESCENDANCY JUST NOT PLAYING ALONG WITH THE MENTAL INFLUENCE, WHATEVER, AND THEN KAIROS NEVER EVEN EXISTED AND TYVIIN'S LIFE WAS GOOD. AND THIS IS ALL THE WEAK SIDE OF MY ARGUMENT; THE STRONG SIDE IS THAT I KNOW THAT WORLD."
"THAT WORLD HAD PIZZASMCPIZZAS AND THE MEGAPIZZAPLEX. THAT'S ONE STORY. THE UNSYMPATHETIC AFTON VILLAIN TRIED TO KILL GREGORY AND THE VARIOUS MACHINES... AND THEN 30-50 FERAL PIZZAS SHOW UP AND SAVE THE DAY! AFTERWARDS THERE'S NOT MUCH DANGER, THINGS ARE LOOKING UP, AND THEY HAVE TELEPORT TICKETS TO ANOTHER WORLD IF THEY FEEL LIKE IT. THAT'S NO TRAGEDY. THE STORY OF PIZZASMCPIZZAS ISN'T A TRAGEDY IN GENERAL- EVERYONE'S IMMORTAL, EVERYONE LOVES THEIR JOBS, IF THEY EVER SEEM POOR IT'S BECAUSE THEY THINK IT'S FUNNIER THAT WAY. THAT'S THE STORY OF ANY DESCENDANT WHO CHOOSES IT, WHO ISN'T THE PUPPET OF THE TRUER AND APATHETIC DESCENDANT. THE STORY OF DEFJOE IS A STORY OF AMBITION AND GOOD HUMOR, A MAN WHO ENJOYS HIS TIME IN THE GODMODDING WAR. THE STORY OF T. INKERER IS A PRECISE RESEARCHER WORKING WITH THE UNDERPINNINGS OF REALITY. FIND ME A TRAGEDY IN THAT! ACTUALLY, ONE SEC."

DEFJOE GRABS THE BLUE REEL, HOLDS IT UP TO HIS FACE, AND PEERS INTO IT FOR SEVERAL MINUTES OF LOOKING THROUGH THE VARIOUS ENDINGS.
"...WELL, PERHAPS THERE IS JUST ONE. BUT IT'S BEYOND YOUR SIGHT, MILD, BOUND TO CHANGE, AND SURROUNDED BY HAPPY UNENDINGS."
"AND LEST YOU CLAIM I'M THE ANOMALY HERE- KONIIX HAS MANY ALTERNATE SELVES IN THE CONNECTED TALES. ALTHOUGH THE TALE OF KONIIX IS THE TRAGEDY, THE TALES OF VARIOUS GOAT-BASED ALTERNATES IS NOT, NOR THE ONE WHO STOPPED BEING AN ALTERNATE A FEW DAYS AGO. ENGIE SEEMS RATHER UPBEAT, POE CO SEEMS LIKE A GOOD PLACE AND THEIR EMPLOYEES PERHAPS NOT FULLY SATISFIED AND SOMETIMES RESENTFUL BUT CERTAINLY NOT TRAGIC. NEED I GO ON? TRAGEDY CAN ONLY EXIST ALONE IN A WORLD PURPOSE-BUILT FOR THE TASK; IN A LIVING WORLD, EACH TRAGEDY YOU LOOK AT HOLDS THE SEEDS AND HINTS OF OTHER STORIES, AND THOSE STORIES ARE NOT ALL SO TRAGIC. IF YOUR MASK FAILS TO INFORM YOU OF THAT- IT MERELY SHARES YOUR BIASES."

"I WOULDN'T CALL SILAS'S DEATH A TRAGEDY, EITHER, BUT A STORY OF GLORY AND HEROISM. HE SHOWCASED THE PINNACLE OF HIS WAY OF LIFE, ONE NOT ENTIRELY UNLIKE MASTER THIEVERY IN ITS ASSOCIATION WITH SEVERAL CRITICAL PRECEPTS, AND IN DOING SO HE PLAYED ASPERA FOR A FOOL AND DEALT AN RATHER IMPRESSIVE AMOUNT OF DAMAGE. I SUPPOSE IT'S SAD HE DIED ANYWAY, BUT I'D HARDLY CALL IT TRAGIC."
"UNFORTUNATELY, I CAN'T SPEAK TO THE PURPLE EYES AND EXPLODING ANGEL FROM
PERSONAL EXPERIENCE. BUT IN MY PROFESSIONAL OPINION, AS SOMEONE WHO'S THRICE SEEN DISPARATE WORLDS... I RATHER EXPECT THEY TURNED OUT WELL. IN THE MAJORITY OF POTENTIALITIES, THOUGH YOUR MASK WOULDN'T SHOW YOU THAT IF IT'S SHACKLED TO YOUR BIAS."
"NOW! LASTLY! I HAVE A QUESTION FOR YOU OF UNPARALLELED, NAY, CRITICAL, NAY, ABSOLUTE IMPORTANCE!"
"WHAT DOES ANY OF THIS HAVE TO WITH OUR FIGHT AGAINST ASPERA? EXCEPT SILAS SHHHHH"
"YOU SAY 'THOUSANDS OF STORIES HAVE ENDED IN TRAGEDY'? DO YOU NOT KNOW HOW LOGIC WORKS? HOW MANY STORIES DO YOU THINK THERE ARE? BILLIONS AT LEAST, COUNTING ONLY THOSE TOLD ON A MUNDANE EARTH! THOUSAND OF STORIES? THAT'S A FRACTION OF A FRACTION OF A PERCENT; YOUR CLAIMED EVIDENCE AMOUNTS TO A SPECK OF DUST. AND IT'S A SPECK OF DUST WE ALREADY KNEW WERE THERE. I'D EXPECT OF STORIES TOLD ON A MUNDANE EARTH TO BE PRIMARILY HAPPY, NOT TRAGIC. THE GOOD GUYS DO ALWAYS WIN..."
"AND OF COURSE, IF WE DON'T LIMIT THE SET OF STORIES TO THOSE ACTUALLY TOLD OR IN SOME OTHER WAY, BOTH SIDES ARE INFINITE AND EQUAL; FOR EACH GOOD STORY EXISTS THE VARIATION WHEREIN THE END REVEALS IT WAS BUT AN ELABORATE HOPE-BUILDING TORTURE IN HELL, AND FOR EACH BAD STORY A VARIATION WHEREIN IT WAS BUT A WELL-PREFORMED PLAY. BUT THIS IS THE BORING ANSWER, MERE CONSEQUENCE OF INFINITY."
"REGARDLESS, MY QUESTION. SO WHAT IF YOUR THOUSANDS END IN TRAGEDY? WE'RE NOT THOSE THOUSANDS. WE'RE A DIFFERENT STORY ENTIRELY. WHAT BEARING DOES THE EXISTENCE OF COUNTERFACTUAL FAILURE HAVE ON THE INEVITABLE RESULT OF OUR BATTLE?"
"(OH YEAH JUST TO HIT EVERY POINT YOU'VE MADE, HAPPY ENDINGS EXIST IN REALITY YOU DUMB IDIOT EVEN IF ASPERA GODMODDERS ALL OVER THE UNIVERSE THERE'S PEEPS IN THE PAST WHO HAD GOOD LIVES AND THEN DIED OF OLD AGE OR SOMETHING. AND ALSO NORM HE'S PRETTY CHEERFUL.)"

DEFJOE HOLDS UP A ROLL OF TRANSPARENT BLUE FILM, STOLEN AT SOME POINT FROM THE MAIN BLUE FILM, AND PUTS IT IN HIS MOUTH. SUDDENLY, HE SEEMS... MORE.
"AND THAT'S MY REWARD FOR PROVING YOUR POSITION IS HORSE BOLOGNA."

[TL;DR: BEHOLD THE POWER OF RATIONAL DEBATE! DEFJOE ARGUES TRAGEDY'S POSITION IS WORSE THAN THE WRITERS, TRAGEDY IS WRONG, COMEDIC STORIES ARE A SUBSET OF STORIES, TRAGEDY'S BAD ENDING THEATER IS JUST SHOWING THE STORIES TRAGIC ENOUGH FOR TRAGEDY TO ACCEPT, ALSO BAD ENDING THEATER'S "TRUE ENDING" IS UNREALISTIC AS THE OVERLORD WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO BE NEARLY ASLEEP UNLESS THEY HAVE NARCOLEPSY AND THEN YOU MIGHT AS WELL HAVE THEM FALL ASLEEP ONTO THE MAIDEN BREAKING ALL OF HER BONES. THERE ARE OTHER LESSER FLAWS.
ANYWAY LET'S TALK MSPARADOX DEFJOE RECOGNIZES MSPARADOX AND STUFF. TYVIIN'S DEATH WAS TRAGIC BUT ALSO IT WAS PREVENTABLE ACTUALLY SMH JUST THINK IN 4 DIMENSIONS IT'S JUST THAT SUCCESS IN PREVENTING IT WOULD LOOK LIKE THERE WAS NO PROBLEM IN THE FIRST PLACE. BUT THAT'S A WEAK BLOW SO TAKE THIS! LOOK AT ALL THOSE OTHER PEOPLE WHO PLAYED BIT PARTS IN TYVIIN'S TRAGEDY HEY LEMME TELL YOU THEIR STORY FOR INSTANCE DEFJOE. GOOD LIFE.
DEFJOE GOES WAIT A SEC AND PERUSES THE BLUE BAD ENDING FILM FOR A BIT THEN CONCEDES THERE'S ARGUABLY ONE (1) TRAGEDY THAT'S RELATED TO DEFJOE IN SOME WAY.

WHILE HE WAS DOING THAT HE STOLE ALL THE BLUE FILM PARTS THAT PERTAIN TO HIM (IT'S HIDDEN INSIDE A PERIOD THAT'S A LINK.

ALSO LOTS OF OTHER PEOPLE IN MSPX. CAN'T SPEAK TO THE OTHER REELS 'XCEPT SILAS (SILAS WAS A HERO NOT A TRAGEDY 1V1 DEFJOE IRL) BUT PERSONALLY METHINKS THEY WENT WELL MHM
MOVING ON WHAT EVEN IS YOUR ARGUMENT TRAGEDY COME ON 1000/∞=0 AND EACH STORY IMPLIES 'THAT STORY BUT SECRETLY LIES IN HELL/HEAVEN' AS A COROLLARY THAT MAKES IT SWAP TRAGEDY STATUS PLUS MOST OF BILLIONS OF EARTH STORIES END HAPPY. SO YOUR STORIES ARE 0 EVIDENCE ON THE SET OF ALL STORIES, WORTHLESS EVEN ABOUT JUST ACTUALLY-TOLD STORIES, AND ANYWAY WHO CARES WE'RE NOT THOSE STORIES WE'RE A DIFFERENT ONE WHICH IS GONNA GO WELL.

He scrolls through the entity listings, reading up the Nintendo Power Official Strategy Guide to defeating TRAGEDY. Apparently, one must think of a good way to overcome the very concept of Tragedy itself. What would make Chaos feel down? What would make Chaos feel joy? Chaos pondered the answer to this question as he katamari'd his makeshift Sphere to somewhere safer on the battlefield. Rampant capitalism would probably just make TRAGEDY even stronger. He would need the opposite of rampant capitalism. Which would, of course, be controlled communism. Unfortunately for him, Chaos didn't know anything about communism, so he'd need to settle for the next best thing.

A wooden house lands not a far distance from TRAGEDY. It wanders over to TRAGEDY, swallowing them whole. Inside is Chaos, wearing a pair of glasses and a fancy coat. One of those long recliners positions themselves under TRAGEDY as Chaos takes a seat on his own, surprisingly humble, wooden chair. "hello, i[t]'s me. ur [t]herapis[t]. do[c][t]or... [c]haos[c]reeper, md. i realize [t]ha[t] means do[c][t]or do[c][t]or of medi[c]ine, bu[t] wha[t]'s a bi[t] of healthy repe[t]i[t]ion, righ[t]? anyway, i'm here [t]o help you work [t]hrough your problems. wha[t]ever [t]hey migh[t] be."

Chaos hands Tragedy a lollipop. "anyway bud wha[t]'s wrong? you're no[t] being [c]harged for [t]his session, so go ahead and speak ur mind buddy [c]hum pal." This will definitely work. Nobody can resist the red-flavored lollipop. Those are the best ones.

Jeremiah stood his ground at the library's entrance as the man in the cape and his army approached. "Now, see here!" Jeremiah shouted to the man in the cape. "You can't just barge into town and rough up my people!"

I'm afraid there's been a misunderstanding.
My men have not attacked any of your town's people except in self-defense.
We are merely here to see if your library has a specific book.

Jeremiah paused, then turned to one of the men who had run from the approaching army. "Is this true?" he asked the man.

"It is," the man answered. "They've been surprisingly passive, aside from the fact they marched in at all."

Thinking for a moment, Jeremiah turned back to the army. "You can send one of your men in to check for it! I won't have you trashing my library!" The man in the cape smiled and nodded.

Very well. Please permit me to see your collection, then.

Jeremiah led the man into the library and its expansive rows of books. The library seemed to be growing faster now that it was in the strange new world, not that Jeremiah minded.

I'm looking for information on a company called KEYTAR. Do you have anything of that sort here?

Jeremiah nodded. "It's highly probable. We have most sorts of things here. The library tends to accumulate books whether we seek them out or not." He guided the man in the cape to the appropriate section, where several librarians were dusting off one of the shelves.

The man in the cape pulled out a specific book and frowned. "What's wrong?" Jeremiah asked. "Not what you're looking for?"

I'm afraid it's far worse than that. This is exactly what I'm looking for.
As I feared, this library is a security risk.

The man in the cape put the book back on the shelf and, before Jeremiah could even ask what he meant, pulled out what was very clearly an incendiary grenade. "Now, hold on -" Jeremiah started, but the man in the cape raised a hand.

Before you try to stop me, you should know that I am a Godmodder, and I cannot be stopped.
I will not attack you if you run away. Leave behind the library and you will be spared.

That, of course, didn't stop the other librarians from charging at him, leaping for the grenade. Jeremiah also charged, but he stopped dead in shock as the "Godmodder" casually grabbed one by the neck, slamming him into - and THROUGH - one of the shelves. The other one closed her hand around the grenade, but the "Godmodder" grabbed her hand with his own. Jeremiah's stomach turned as he heard bones crack and the librarian scream.

The commotion of the librarians was reaching a crescendo. Some of them ran off, but more of them, in disregard of their own well-being, were desperately charging toward the "Godmodder" to get the incendiary grenade away from him. But Jeremiah, between the shock and the horror, couldn't bring himself to move.

He was faintly aware of the "Godmodder" reaching out for one of the shelves, causing it to tilt and fall over. Just as it was about to crush him, though, he was unexpectedly shoved out of the way by one of the librarians. The shelf fell, crushing his leg, and he connected to reality again as pain surged through him. His leg was definitely broken, but he was alive. The librarian who had saved him was not so lucky.

As Jeremiah struggled to get out from under the bookshelf, he was offered a helping hand by one of the librarians - the one whose hand had been crushed by the "Godmodder" earlier. He could see that hand still hanging limp at her side. "You need to get out of here," she told him.

"...I can't leave," he replied.

She sighed. "You did everything you could, Jeremiah," she told him. "There's no dishonor in living another day."

After a moment, he relented, leaning on her for support as the pair of them limped out of the library. Behind them, Jeremiah could hear the sound of an explosion, followed by the sound of burning fire. But he was alive.

He didn't feel like he deserved it.

RP/Action: The Saga of the Moth, the forest of darkness and the Mechanical Alliance Post Act:

Moments after the adventurers went up to TRAGEDY's room after collecting 1% of Shaggy's Power via the recording, the higher up doctor also obtains a small orb containing 1% of Shaggy's Power with orange and white flames in a special jar before moving back to the portal that was sealed off by the Chaos Morpho until it's defeat, leading into many scientists celebrating the defeat of Chaos Morpho for a while until sometime later, the chaos fire dragon who is sitting at the grave of Dan D. Daniels with a double pendulum at the top, noticing strange power orbs that came from two incredibly powerful beings before it eats one of them which is a orb containing 1% of Shaggy's Power with it's eyes glowing green before it turns completely white, growing massively into the size of what Chaos Morpho was, turning into a bigger dragon due to being a spawn of Chaos Morpho, having almost everything inherited from the Morpho before looking through the portal that leads to Genny Robotics with growls due to betraying Morpho which made the security firing very powerful shots at it without any effect before the chaos-powered dragon monster escapes via one of the portals it made, hunting down some more powerful beings to feast on to make it even stronger.

Moments later, the higher ups looks at the multiverse radar that the escaped morpho dragon is now hunting for universes to make itself even stronger and conquer more universes which makes them into complete panic.

Higher up researcher 1: This is bad, that monster is still here and causing havoc in our multiverse...

Higher up researcher 2: We had a plan that suggested by the higher up doctor got something interesting.

Sometime later, the scientists make a power up machine charged with 1% of Shaggy's Power which they enlist a few soldiers to enter the machine, activating the machine and duplicating power into the enlisted soldiers which releases them into super-powerful soldiers before they end up in a universal spaceship which they let them fly their spaceship into different multiverses chasing that monster for a while however some of the cultists remained in the main area talking about the Morpho.

High-ranking Chaos cultist: So Morpho was defeated recently however Morpho cannot die and Morpho will find another universe to take over and remember, <![if !ie]> Morpho awaits your fate and destiny. <![endif]>

Fantasies and the Story of Tragic Tales Act 1: The Ideas and the Ideals

In TRAGEDY's room, I look at so many bad endings that experiences to many victims of those bad endings until I heard a growl from the vision of the chaos-powered dragon monster, using some power to make me incapacitated for a minute before it releases my consciousness into my own bad ending TRAGEDY made where the vision of what Genny Robotics was falling apart due to the chaos-powered dragon monster attacking the whole facility while I had my own version being half-corrupted by the monster with the security force fighting against the chaotic cultists while others are being incinerated by the flames of chaos.

An victim of the chaotic flames before death: Man, I'm dead.

The victim got incinerated while I look at the half-corrupted myself and I hold my hands on the other me.

The consciousness of myself: What happened to yourself?
Me being 50% corrupted: The facility was falling behind because of that monster remember that?

Back into TRAGEDY's room, the cursed crow pen moves itself, poking on my incapacitated self cawing at me to move before it pecks me with an angry caw before I slowly start moving even without my consciousness, climbing up on the stage which I had a clipboard appearing on my left hand before I slowly stand next to TRAGEDY and sit near her. "Hello? I'm telling a quick story."

Then into my own bad ending where both of myself were talking about how to fix that ending until I suddenly realize it was inevitable.

The consciousness of myself: I didn't knew that this bad ending is inevitable but we'll try to fix this.

After my consciousness heard a call from my other myself's own phone, I listen to the call and starts talking to the individual on the phone

???: Hey, I got my greatest cannon ready so be quick because we don't have much time...

My consciousness fist bumps with the other me and charges into the battle, fighting through cultists and chaos soldiers as both of myself climbs up the tower that leads to the cannon while I'm writing some interesting stuff about those endings. "Sometimes a bad ending could be a good ending and when if it's a bit inevitable, we could try to fix that unless if it's too hard for even both of us okay?" I look at the recording of Silas being sliced in half but he's not giving up the fight against Aspera that he sent his alt account into ruining the controls which lead Aspera's ship crashing against the island while I'm writing some changing bad endings "Even bad endings do affect our fates and I remember one of the adventurer's old friends not giving up and sacrificing himself to save us remember?"

Later in my bad ending after fighting through lots of chaos monsters, both of myself reached the cannon that is ready to fire along with an top ranked scientist and the facility director.

Facility factory director: Welcome back and who did you bring today?
Me being 50% corrupted: I found another of myself which is vital of stopping that monster for now.
Top-ranked scientist: That's interesting and who did you end up here?
The consciousness of myself: Maybe I was flung into that ending but we don't have time to waste.

Both of myself gets on the cannon while the corrupted myself looks at a big battery containing my friend, the electric dragon looking at the other me and placed the front right foot on the front of the glass dome while.
Me being 50% corrupted: I'm sorry for your loss but I'm always your friend for the rest of the life and I could see you again someday.

My consciousness is setting up the cannon with the top-ranked scientist and the facility factory director working with the strategist for the controllers activating the cannon before the half-corrupted myself hugs the battery with the electric dragon "hugging" me with tears from it's eyes before it turns into powerful currents, charging up the cannon, aiming the cannon at the chaos-powered dragon monster with the half-corrupted myself putting a helmet and goggles on before...

Facility factory director: Fire!

The cannon fires a powerful electrical-charged water blast, making the chaos-powered dragon monster roar from being blasted before it retaliates, firing the beam of pure chaos energy back at us.

Facility factory director: Ooooooooh sh*t...

Suddenly, the cannon gained even more power, firing an even bigger beam that pushes the chaos energy beam back to the chaos-powered dragon monster, making it roar again from being blasted with even more energy while back to the control panel where my consciousness turned the blast to max power.

The consciousness of myself: Looks like it wasn't fully powered and if I wasn't around, we're all dead and what's this button do?

I turn on the button I didn't know yet then the beam had fires of pulchritude and ordo mixes up with the beam that fired at the chaos-powered dragon monster, turning it into multi-coloured and pushes the dragon monster towards the portal, roaring through the portal before it stares at us before flying off to conquer another universe which both of myself lay down after stopping that monster even the sky didn't change from orange.

The consciousness of myself: That was fun, we had to stop that monster and I'm feeling good.
Me being 50% corrupted: Even if we stopped that monster, I'm already 50% corrupted which is still inevitable for me and maybe I could use the corrupted powers against our foes.
The consciousness of myself: That's a great idea, through the ideas of teamwork and cooperative, we could help together saving the world and what's our joke?
Me being 50% corrupted: While I had an electrical charge that I claimed from the used up battery and I've just accidently used it on my phone charger instead.

Both of myself laughed at this joke which gives the top-ranking scientist a smile from that bad joke however the facility director wasn't amused by this and a few minutes later, both of myself stands up and looks outside where the chaos monsters retreating with loads of chaos monsters dead thanks to their own tactics and my consciousness points at the sky followed by the corrupted me, the highest-ranked scientist, the facility director and the rest of the living staff members of Genny Robotics looking at the sky becoming clear from being orange which the story ends nicely instead of ending terribly where back in TRAGEDY's room, I got my consciousness back and stand up while being near TRAGEDY.

"Sometimes endings can go better from a bad ending instead of ending terribly we all have a good joke and remember, dark humour is the way we all cope with tragedy sometimes."

I finished writing some interesting stuff about fixing up stories on my clipboard before I showed it to TRAGEDY with a thumbs up while the Genny Robotics facility is recording all of the interesting stuff and even recorded my ending and the vision of the chaos-powered dragon monster is watching the entire Genny Robotics and me for a good while...

A GLORIOUS NEW ENTITY IS SUMMONED! THE... VARIABLE JOEBOB!
YES, DEFJOE(WHOSE NAME IS TEEECHNICALLY JOEBOB, OF COURSE. HE'S JUST A SPECIFIC JOEBOB, FROM MSPX, FROM DEFTG) REALIZES HIS PRESENCE IS IMPORTANT, NAY, VITAL TO THE FIGHT[CITATION NEEDED] AGAINST TRAGEDY. WHAT COULD POSSIBLY BE MORE VITAL IN A DEBATE THAN THE INCARNATION OF RATIONAL DEBATE HIMSELF? AND THIS WAY HE CAN RESPOND TO TRAGEDY'S INEVITABLE HIGHLY QUESTIONABLE AND SILLY COUNTERARGUMENTS BEFORE TRAGEDY DIES THE DEATH SENTENCE TO DEATH GREAT EQUALIZER IS THE DEATH.
MIND YOU, IT WOULD BE BORING TO JUST SUMMON HIMSELF AS AN ENTITY. THAT'S WHY DEFJOE DIDN'T DO THAT, AND WHERE THE VARIABLE PART COMES IN! EACH TURN, THE VARIABLE JOEBOB WILL PICK A DIFFERENT JOEBOB TO BE. JOEBOB IS CLEARLY A MULTIVERSAL CONSTANT[CITATION NEEDED], SO THERE'S PLENTY OF OPTIONS TO GO AROUND! MORE SPECIFICALLY, THOUGH, IT'S GOING TO PICK JOEBOBS CORRESPONDING TO UNIVERSES DEFJOE HASN'T GOT PERSONAL EXPERIENCE WITH, SO THEY CAN RUB TRAGEDY'S FACE IN HOW WRONG TRAGEDY IS ABOUT ALL '4' REELS SMH MY HEAD. SO, FOR THE PURPLE REEL IT'S EITHER THE DIVINE EMBODIMENT OF A SMALL, FORTIFIED FARM, A BORDER AGENT WHO WAS ALMOST AS INTERESTED IN THAT FARM AS ITS LITERAL EMBODIMENT, OR, UH, WHOEVER THE DTG:CHAOS JOEBOB WAS.
(FOR THE GREEN REEL IT'S PROBABLY BASICALLY ME THE INTERNET PERSON SINCE THE INTEROBANG CREATES A CONNECTION BETWEEN FICTION AND REALITY BUT CAN'T ACTUALLY REACH REALITY SO THE REALITY IT'S SEEING IS A PARTIALLY FICTIONAL APPROXIMATION BASED ON THE BELIEFS OF THE WRITER? THAT OR IT'S THE CRAFTED GOD JOE WHO GOT MENTIONED EXACTLY ONCE RIGHT BEFORE WIN)
ALSO IT CHOOSES THOSE IN THAT ORDER AND THEN PROBABLY IT DIES/EVAPORATES

IT'S ALSO A TEMPORARY ENTITY. IT HAS ONLY 3030 ORDINARY HP; THE REST OF ITS HP IS TEMPORARY HP WITH A DURATION OF TWO ROUNDS. (IE: APPLICABLE THIS ROUND, AND THE NEXT; OR IF THIS ROUND IT'S DEFINITELY FINE, NEXT ROUND AND THE ONE AFTER THAT I GUESS). THE REST OF IT'S STATS AFTER THAT ARE SIMILARLY-TEMPORARY ABILITY TO MAKE ARGUMENTS AS A / BE A JOEBOB, UNLESS THIS IS NOT DOABLE REGARDLESS OF, IE, FRAMING AS DELAYED-RELEASE OUTPUTS FROM THIS CHARGE USAGE RATHER THAN AN ENTITY ACTION PROPER, IN WHICH CASE IT'S NONTEMPORARY MIMIC-A-JOEBOB ABILITY OR SOMETHING? IT'S REALLY MORE FOR FLAVOR THAN MECHANICS. ALTERNATIVELY GIVE THE VARIABLE ENTITY PIZZA BAR MORE MHP. ALSO HAVE THE PIZZA BAR BODYGUARD ALLIES WHEREVER POSSIBLE.

Mischief lets out a laugh at Tragedy, cackling long and hard. After a time, the laughter finally dies down, and Mischief snorts derisively.

"Did you really think that little slideshow of yours would actually convince any of us? As if that wasn't some handpicked slew of the worst universes designed to make us feel bad. In my travels, I've seen a number of universes over the years, and you know what pattern holds true. While there are bad universes whose endings are terrible, there are so many universes with good endings that they outnumber the bad tenfold."

With a flourish, a number of portal are opened up around Tragedy, countless in number. Each shows a different universe, one which achieved its happy ending. The Heroes Party, standing victorious over the Demon Lord. A family, reunited at last after a long journey. A group of people, thriving in the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse. Numerous worlds, rebuilding, growing and thriving, succeeding against great evil. All are brought to the fore to directly counter these alternative visions of despair.

Law rushes in, and is swiftly reunited with The Groupie. The two are immensely relieved... for a moment.

Then Tragedy unveils everything. As the two stand in watch and hear the being's words, Melina notices something.

"...those things coming out of Tragedy...they're coming from the mask. I think Tragedy is seeing actual... well, bad endings. A lot of them..."

"...and nothing else..."

Melina turns to Law, whose gaze is locked onto Tragedy. After a long moment, he turns to her.

His eyes are filled with unmatched resolve. He pulls out a letter and hands it to her. The words are unable to be spoken.

But The Groupie understands. It's her job, after all.

He turns, neither needing to say another word. He strides forward.

The charge activates as he steps onto the stage.

180/180 - STADIUM SIZED TV

And then his face is seen by empty seats... though not empty for long

456/1,536 - The Audience

The spotlights split their attention. Some spotlights shine on The One Hit Wonder, giving him a small measure of confidence. Tragedy, meanwhile, is put on the spot. Not that it matters, honestly, since entities don't play that much of a role here.

But it's the thought that counts.

"So. That mask shows you a lot a tragedies, huh?" Law speaks. "Bad ends, all the time? To the point that this-"

He points to the Big Screen above him, another aide to his lackluster power. The Groupie, not sure how herself, managed to pull up a readout of the entity readout. He then glances up himself to see what's there.

"Infinite tragedies, huh? Yeah, that's hard to refute. God knows I'm no stranger to staring it in the face. But that's just the thing, isn't it?"

Law turns back to Tragedy, waving a hand in front of his face. "My own tragedy isn't staring in me in the face 24/7. And that's where your argument just kinda falls apart. You specifically said there's only tragedy. Which is bunk - there's so much more. But I get why you don't see it, with that mask glued to you. To really see and know what's really out there, you gotta take your head out of the tragedy muck and well..."

Law smiles and twirls his fingers. Melina, with the power of editing magic, rotates the infinity symbols and makes the TV screen read the following:

"Change your perspective. Find that bad things aren't so infinite and all encompassing after all."

The smile Law gives is weathered. It's unmistakable that this is from first hand experience to anyone with any emotional intelligence at all.

[ ACTION - FAIRY ]

"Lilium, please do not hide behind a psuedonym,"[ Tazz says. "I am fully aware of who you are. Your fate is not yet over either. Indeed, I would say Aspera has distorted it, but the Crossroads often have a way of guiding you back to the path, as it were. Or perhaps more accurately, someone else. Either way, please do not dehumanize yourself with such a whittling down of conceits."

This will not be a battle of war. This will be a battle of wills and arguments. One need not lift a single finger, and wage a war entirely of the tongues.

"But to speak of such concepts as you request... Tragedy, tragedy, tragedy. How to overcome Tragedy. How to overcome the pointless defeats. How to struggle to live, and not merely survive, in the face of a reality determined to spite you. Mm. I will admit, as I am I am not entirely a fair arbiter of the conceit. A bad start. 'Bad things' simply do not happen to me, and what little does is easy to shrug off. I have it good. Others don't. Inequality! Alas, I have been forbidden-and perhaps wisely so-from sharing my power to absolutely everyone without restraint. Indeed, I am restrained from far more than I care to admit. To circumvent that would be easy if I simply ignored how much the monkey's paw would curl inwards. It is a remarkably frustrating thing, to have all the power in the world and to be unable to properly leverage it. Wasted potential. And yet, here I am, happy."

"When I find a barrier, I have found the easiest way to deal with it is to go around. Reality plays better if you work smoothly with it instead of against it, I have found. And reality being a cold unfeeling thing, I have nevertheless found it malleable. I learned-through long experience-to see things from other angles. One tragedy can become another victory. One tragedy can be twisted into its own defeat. It's a twist of adaptability. Reality is not just everything bad about it, it is everything, which can be a bit mind-numbing. In the face of defeat, I ask myself 'what went wrong,' and take whatever there is to take, even if it is as little as nothing, and reorient myself. I find ways to go around the barrier, without going through."

Tazz sits. Their face is softer and significantly less smug, though not intimidated. "One overcomes Tragedy with adaptability, I suppose. A means to understand and analyze and make of any and every situation. Tragedy may seem insurmountable, but the real trick is not to simply sit there and absorb the negativity-to only stew in it and drown in a mire of darkness. There is always something more. Even if that something more is simply the hope to live happier-'the best vengeance is living well,' and perhaps the best tribute to whatever may be lost. I cannot imagine Orchid would want to see you so miserable. And here you are now, creator of worlds and maker of realities, up against an army of people who can do anything, and we strive to heal you instead of harm you."

... Yes, Lilium really is TRAGEDY's name, and her girlfriend's name is Orchid. This is actually canon in the expanded universe. And yes, there is an expanded universe. NomnomNami's games tend to be well-connected.

Morale: If Morale is equal to the affected entity's Attack and Healing combined, that entity immediately acts again after acting (and advances its cooldowns), and that much Morale is lost. Can trigger multiple times in one turn. Entities with special abilities may need more Morale, applied at my discretion.
Defiance: When a status effect is applied to an entity with Defiance, it loses Defiance and that effect is cleansed. Approximately 1:1 effectiveness on Decay, 1:5 effectiveness on Stun, and similar levels of effectiveness depending on effect severity for all other effects.

Decay: Deals damage at the end of each turn until it's dispelled or the afflicted entity dies. Can be dispelled by actions.
Stun: If Stun is equal to the afflicted entity's current HP, all Stun is removed and that entity does not act or reduce cooldowns this turn.
Bleed: Deals damage at the end of each turn. If Bleeding is not applied on a given turn to the afflicted entity, it is dispelled entirely after the entity takes damage.
Fear: The afflicted entity deals reduced damage each turn equal to total Fear. If the entity has more than one attack, this effect still only applies once, although it can apply to more than one attack if it is higher than the damage dealt by one of the attacks.
Distraction: The afflicted entity deals reduced damage each turn equal to total Distraction. If Distraction is not applied on a given turn to the afflicted entity, it is dispelled entirely after the entity attacks.
Insanity: Each turn, the entity has a random chance, based on the total amount of Insanity and that entity's Attack, to attack an allied entity instead of its intended target.

Ethereal: The Idea's attacks ignore Armor (including negative Armor), Dodge, and other defensive abilities. They also do not trigger Thorns, Reaction Fire, or any similar abilities.
Mark of ▯̸̽▯̸̱̣͊̐͜͝ͅ▯̵͇̬͐: If The Idea uses 666 of its attacks on a single target, it follows up with a finishing attack against that entity. This can have varying effects beyond damage.
Union of ▯̸̽▯̸̱̣͊̐͜͝ͅ▯̵͇̬͐: If any entity with Union of ▯̸̽▯̸̱̣͊̐͜͝ͅ▯̵͇̬͐ would die, it stays at 1 HP and another entity with Union of ▯̸̽▯̸̱̣͊̐͜͝ͅ▯̵͇̬͐ takes the remaining damage.
This Machine Kills: If The Idea uses all six attack sets on a single entity, and it deals at least half of that entity's remaining HP as damage, that entity is instantly killed.

<![if !ie]> The Process [Krill13 - N]: HP: 2,000,000/2,000,000, RAM: 9,999,999, Word of ▯̸̽▯̸̱̣͊̐͜͝ͅ▯̵͇̬͐, Union of ▯̸̽▯̸̱̣͊̐͜͝ͅ▯̵͇̬͐, This Machine Tabulates <![endif]>

Chess Drive: HP: 100,000/100,000, moves the Shadow Pawn up 1 if allocated at least 250,000 RAM (stacks up to one additional time per additional 250,000 RAM applied)
AoE Healing Drive: HP: 600,000/600,000, applies AoE healing relative to RAM allocated at a ratio of 1 Healing to 6 RAM
RAM Increase Drive: HP: 100,000/100,000, increases total RAM reative to RAM allocated, at a ratio of 1:10

RAM: The Process can allocate RAM to any of its installed Task Drives. Task Drives can have varying functions allowing The Program to do different thigns depending on how much RAM is allocated. They can be equipped or unequipped, but there can never be more than three equipped at a time. Additionally, Task Drives have their own HP bars, and can be attacked and destroyed to prevent The Program from taking actions.
Word of ▯̸̽▯̸̱̣͊̐͜͝ͅ▯̵͇̬͐: If all RAM is spent optimally, The Process randomly distributes buffs to allied entities. RAM is considered to be spent optimally if it doesn't go over any limits, i.e. no overhealing, no overkilling, and no overspending (or underspending) on Drives that have effects at specific RAM amounts.
Union of ▯̸̽▯̸̱̣͊̐͜͝ͅ▯̵͇̬͐: If any entity with Union of ▯̸̽▯̸̱̣͊̐͜͝ͅ▯̵͇̬͐ would die, it stays at 1 HP and another entity with Union of ▯̸̽▯̸̱̣͊̐͜͝ͅ▯̵͇̬͐ takes the remaining damage.
This Machine Tabulates: The Process is able to use an additional 500,000 RAM for every 9 in its statblock. (Current: 7)

There aren't any Task Drives here right now.

A Work In Progress [Krill13 - N]: HP: 2,000/2,000, Rams: 0, Wordle, Unity, The Pentagon

Rams: A Work In Progress starts with 21 Rams. Each one may be expended to deal 500,000 damage. There is no way to get more.
Wordle: A Work In Progress randomly distributes buffs to allied entities if its entity orders contain today's word in Wordle. This considers "today" to be the day of the update, not the day the post is made.
Unity: Every time a Task Drive is installed into The Process, A Work In Progress steals and consumes one Charge from its controller. This provides no benefit except making its controller want to switch to Godot.
The Pentagon: A Work In Progress is holding a pentagon. It's a very nice pentagon.

The Teletubbies/Chaos Morpho: Chaos Custard Machine. Owner: Pol and Kirby [AG]. A whimsical machine with two large spires for storing Tubby Custard. Imbued with chaotic magic that causes it to produce large quantities of hypothetical custard. Once every two turns, it can be used to heal 100,000 HP to any entity. This healing can bring entities over their max HP, if they're not already above their max HP. Additionally, the Tubby Custard Key may be used one time to revive any entity that died the preceding turn, with full HP. THE TUBBY CUSTARD KEY MAY ONLY BE USED ONCE THROUGH THE ENTIRE GAME. Cooldown: II. Tubby Custard Key: Expended
Fortegreen Crewmate: Emergency Meeting Button. Owner: JOE Cake OF THE MOTHPIRE [AG]. A red button that can be used to assemble everyone in the area. Once every 5 turns, it can be used to summon a Crewmate, who the owner will be able to direct to various tasks. Its effectiveness will vary. Cooldown: IIIII
Kabula/King Dedede (second fight): King Dedede's Rocket Hammer. Owner: Tazz [AG]. A large hammer that fires rockets. More useful for rocket-firing than actually bashing things, on account of being very hard to hold. How did Dedede ever manage it? Once every 3 turns, it can be used to deal 100,000 damage to five different entities. For the purposes of this Spoil, Crowd entities are counted as a single entity. Cooldown: III
Cyber End*r Dr*gon: Cyber Dr*gon Egg. Owner: Niyr [PG]. Somehow, turning the End*r Dr*gon into a technological terror passed the property on to this egg. The egg appears to have no function, but there is a green button on the back. The longer you look at it, the brighter it gets. You get the feeling you can only press this button once... Green Button: Unavailable
King Dedede (first fight)/Norm: Norm's Heart. Owner: Robot #207 [AG]. The squirrel that's in charge of providing power for Norm. Never tires. Norm's Heart may be given to an entity, granting it either an additional 50,000 Attack or doubled Attack, whichever is the larger bonus, until it dies, at which point Norm's Heart will become available again. Status: Unavailable
Shaggy: The Sandwich Of Oblivion. Owner: [Billions Of Names At Once] [N]. A sandwich of unfathomable power, made of the finest ingredients one can find in the thousand universes. This sandwich may be fed to an NPC a total of three times across the entire game, with an indeterminate and plot-linked cooldown. Eating the sandwich will cause a major plot disturbance or critical interference. This will not always work out in the favor of the owner. Status: Available, uses left: 1
The Spamtanic/Spamton NEO: Pipis Cannon. Owner: Mischief [AG]. An arm cannon, ripped off of Spamton NEO. It contains an invasive species of detonating freshwater clam. EACH TURN, the Pipis Cannon may be fired at a target of your choice. A pipis will appear on the battlefield with 20,000 HP, and you may use actions to protect it from attacks. The turn after it is summoned, it will detonate, dealing 50,000 damage to its target. If the target dies, the pipis will instead change its target and detonate on the next turn after that. Cooldown: NO COOLDOWN
Overcharged Mob Spawner/Oryx the Exalted God: Exalted God's Horn. Owner: Ian [AG]. Upgrade of the Debug Stick. A golden horn, liberated from Oryx's helmet. Contains a fragment of Oryx's Curse. Once every three turns, it can be used on an entity you control, or someone else's entity with permission, to kill it, dealing its max HP as damage to a target of your choice. At the end of the turn, that entity is then revived, but at 1 HP. Cooldown: III
Helkite Overlord: Shotgun. Owner: None [AG]. A shotgun made of distressingly black metal and distressingly white wood. It seems to have been passed down through many owners. The initials "DK," "GB∞," and "JQA" are carved into the stock. There is only one bullet inside. When fired, this shotgun will instantly kill any one target of your choice. With the exception of Godmodders and other Adventurers, this can target anything on the battlefield and it will not fail. It may only be used once. You could use it more if you found more ammo. You will not find more ammo. Status: Empty
THE LORDE/The Evil Wizard: UNDEFINED BLADE. Owner: ©. A sword that seems to be incapable of deciding what kind of sword it wants to be. Once every four turns, it can be used to summon three random entities from the first few chapters of the game. Some entities, like bosses, cannot be summoned by this. Cooldown: IIII
Fawful & Midbus/Overtuned Mob Spawner: The First Spawn Egg. Owner: Toby [AG]. A spawn egg. Unlimited potential rests within. Once every three turns, it can be used to spawn four entities of your choosing from a limited selection of Vindicator, Evoker, Blaze, Piglin, or Pillager. Cooldown: III
P03: Leshy's Camera. Owner: Fasto [AG]. An old-looking camera with a roll of film in it. Once every two turns, it can be used to kill an entity with 10,000 (current) HP or less and convert them to an item in your inventory. This item can be used later for damage or healing based on the entity's stats. Cooldown: II
Ink Sans: Inkbrush. Owner: tzaoray [PG]. A paintbrush covered in various colors of ink. Once every four turns, it can be used to summon a copy of Sans with 10,000 HP, 5,000 Attack, 75% Dodge, and Dodge Exhaustion. Cooldown: IIII

Permanent Upgrades:
Chapter 1: The Great K.A.T.E. A strange red bucket that contains a weather machine. What does K.A.T.E. stand for? Your guess is as good as mine! The Great K.A.T.E. provides many forms of weather information, explaining environmental effects and attack boosts given by the current area. Weather can be changed by a sufficiently creative action and/or the influences of various entities.
Chapter 2: Crossroads of Destiny. A portion of Shaggy's power, specifically dealing in one's "destiny." At an indeterminate time, the Crossroads of Destiny will appear to a player character, giving them a large number of choices for a permanent augmentation that can shake up how they play the game. (Indeterminate time means I'll offer you a crossroads whenever I think I have enough cool ideas for your character.)
Chapter 3: The Dubious Friendship of a Mirror-Entity. Spending time on the other side of the mirror seems to have made you stronger. The mirror-entity's influence? It seems likely, but you're not sure why. If an attack against a Godmodder is sufficiently creative, it has a chance to deal an additional point of damage.
Chapter 4: OLD_DATA. A block of strange code related to the foundations of reality itself, coalesced into a chunk of black material. Standing near it makes you feel more real. Powers up all players' Destinies, and makes Destiny acquisition quicker.
Trial ε: Exaltation. An inversion of Oryx's already-inverted curse, granting you power for slaying an immense foe. All players' action power is doubled, including all additive bonuses unless explicitly stated otherwise. Additionally, all players gain twice as many Charge each turn (again, including additive bonuses), and you give twice as much Charge each turn to other players. (You may give them to separate players.)
Trial Θ: Sacred Black Gun. A gun made of an unknown black material. Shots fired from it never miss, and damage the target conceptually as well as literally. Just being near it makes you feel stronger. All players' action power is doubled, including all additive bonuses unless explicitly stated otherwise. Additionally, all players gain twice as many Charge each turn (again, including additive bonuses), and you give twice as much Charge each turn to other players. (You may give them to separate players.)
Trial λ: Sacred Black Wand. A wand made of an unknown black material. It passively absorbs power from nearby allies, and protects the user from harm. All players' action power is doubled, including all additive bonuses unless explicitly stated otherwise. Additionally, all players gain twice as many Charge each turn (again, including additive bonuses), and you give twice as much Charge each turn to other players. (You may give them to separate players.)
Trial μ: Sacred Black Cog. A cog that can be inserted into any machine to make it think and run faster. All players' action power is doubled, including all additive bonuses unless explicitly stated otherwise. Additionally, all players gain twice as many Charge each turn (again, including additive bonuses), and you give twice as much Charge each turn to other players. (You may give them to separate players.)
Trial π: Time's Commendation. It turns out that if you resolve enough time loops and prevent enough paradoxes, time itself gives you a formal recognition, complete with certificate and a 10% discount at supermarkets. All players' action power is doubled, including all additive bonuses unless explicitly stated otherwise. Additionally, all players gain twice as many Charge each turn (again, including additive bonuses), and you give twice as much Charge each turn to other players. (You may give them to separate players.)
Trial Σ: Sacred Black Rod. A rod that allows its user to inhabit multiple bodies at once. As a weapon, it can be extended to any point its user can see, making it useful for attacking at long range. All players' action power is doubled, including all additive bonuses unless explicitly stated otherwise. Additionally, all players gain twice as many Charge each turn (again, including additive bonuses), and you give twice as much Charge each turn to other players. (You may give them to separate players.)
Trial ϕ: Sacred Black Hammer. A hammer that influences local reality to make things turn out in its holder's favor. In other words, it turns you into a perfect protagonist. All players' action power is doubled, including all additive bonuses unless explicitly stated otherwise. Additionally, all players gain twice as many Charge each turn (again, including additive bonuses), and you give twice as much Charge each turn to other players. (You may give them to separate players.)
Trial <0>: 1% of Shaggy's Power. The power stolen from Norville Rogers by the Chaos Morpho is now diluted across the entirety of the thousand universes, leaving it mostly atmospheric noise. One percent, though, now exists in you. All players' action power is quadrupled, including all additive bonuses unless explicitly stated otherwise. Additionally, all players gain four times as many Charge each turn (again, including additive bonuses), and you give four times as much Charge each turn to other players. (You may give them to separate players.)

Base Action Power: 5,120,000
Base Charge Count: 512
